Metal Carports Roof style

There are three roof styles we offer with our metal carports; Regular, Boxed Eave and Vertical. Your choice of the roof style will depend on a number of factors. These factors include things like the look you want for your metal carport, your budget, the weather of the location you live in.

The regular roof style, with a curved roofline and horizontal roof panels, is the most affordable option. It provides a very unique and modern look. However, regular carports are more suited to mild weather conditions.

The A-framed Boxed Eave roof style, also with horizontal roof panels, is reasonably priced. It is a more durable option than regular carports. Plus, boxed eave carport fit in with the architecture of a traditional house. We recommend these prefab steel carports in areas with moderate weather.

Vertical roof style, also A-framed, is the strongest, most durable and the most expensive among the options. Vertical carports also offer great aesthetics. They can withstand any adverse weather condition.

Additional Features for Metal Carport

Gables

Gables are optional features that can be added to the front and the back of your steel carport. Adding gables to your prefab steel carport gives it a more polished and refined look. This is because gables help to hide the internal framework of the metal carport. Also, these gables when attached to the metal framework of the carport, add to the overall strength of the metal structure. If you are looking to increase the coverage for the carport, then adding gables is a cheap way to do it.

Side and End Panels

Side and end panels, like the gables, are added features that can enhance the look of your steel carport as well as its strength. These panels also hide the internal tubing from view and help to give the metal carport a more polished finish. It adds to the overall strength of the metal carport.

Also, depending on the weather your place faces, adding side and end panels to your steel carport can give it better coverage. Hence, they will provide your belongings needed protection against the sideways rain, strong winds, and other adverse elements.

Trims (J- trim, L- trim, Side Eave trim, Ridge cap)

The trims give the metal carport a very refined look and also cover the seams where the metal panels meet or end. You can choose the color of these trims to give the carport the desired look.

The side eave trim is provided with A-framed structures while the ridge cap is used in cases of vertical metal carports to cover the seams at the ridge of the roof.  

Installing a J- trim is optional. J-trims run along the length of the side panel and are installed at the bottom of those panels. These trims refine the aesthetic of your steel carport. They also make your carport safer. This is because, with exposed side panels, there are chances that you might get cuts or scratches.

Anchors

Anchors are used for fixing the metal carports to a surface. These components provide the steel carport with extra support. They help the carport remain sturdy and fixed to the ground even when facing harsh wind or rain. There are various types of anchors available depending on the surface where you plan to build your carport on; rebar anchors, concrete anchors, mobile home anchors, and lag bolts.

Braces

Braces fix the roof of a steel carport to the legs. They increase the stability of your steel carport and prevent them from failing during extreme weather. By default, we provide our metal carports with at least 4 corner braces. But you can increase this number at an added cost. We specifically recommend our customers to add extra braces if they live in regions prone to brutal weather conditions.
